Youth Kickball

BASIC INFORMATION:

• This is a social kid’s league ran by Fun with Friends Sports Knoxville!
  We wish to focus on fun while teaching the children how to play the game and the importance of teamwork!
• Games take place on Saturdays starting on April 6, 2024!
  There will be a workshop, meet and greet gameday on 3/30 at 11AM. We will introduce your kid(s) to their captain and teammates, quickly show them how to play and go over rules. Details will be emailed or shared in the captain’s chat!
• We play at West Hills/John Bynon Park, which is located across the street from West Hills Elementary school off of Sheffield Dr. in West Knoxville.
• Games typically begin at 10AM or later. We can work with schedules if requested before season begins.
• Games last roughly an hour. Our Youth Kickball commissioner is Eliza Boles.

HOW TO REGISTER:

• Click “YOUTH REGISTRATION” tab above to officially register your child.
  NOTE: your child is not registered to play on a team until you submit payment.
• If your child has a team, that’s great! If they don’t have a team, that’s ok! We will gladly put your child with one!
  SIGN ON AS A FREE AGENT OR WITH A FRIEND/SIBLING!
  In the team name field just type “free agent” or “free agent with (name)” to be placed with a friend.
  If registering as the guardian for multiple children, each must be registered separately!
• Cost is ONLY $10 for 6 games AND a FwF Youth Kickball team shirt!

  This 6 game time-frame includes a playoff round-robin tournament week to determine the champs! All teams will make playoffs! Playoffs are single elimination. Some teams can play more than 6 games if they continue to advance in playoffs.
• Adult team captain must register the team first unless you are registering as a free agent (to be placed with a random team). Team captains choose the team name and team color. Captains, you can start a team that isn’t full. We can provide you with free agents.
• We will reach out to each adult team captain within a week of registration to get a team color.
• We will have a captain’s chat where each captain will have direct communication with the youth commissioner.
• Parents, you will be put in touch with your child’s captain. Captains/Teams may hold practices in their own time.

LEAGUE INFO & RULES:

• Everything required will be provided by the league.
• 10 players per team minimum. However, you can play with 11 players on the field at once. Therefore, it’s beneficial to have more than the minimum. 
• Standings will determine who you play in playoffs.
• We do encourage kids to have non-metal cleats but cleats are not mandatory. Metal cleats are not allowed.
• Team shirts are supplied so we ask that all teams match and wear them to not cause confusion for umps.
• The adult captain may pitch for the younger age bracket. For the higher age bracket, one of the children must pitch.

NOTE: Some games will have pictures taken for promotional use and the championship game will be live streamed on our social page. If you do not agree to this with your child then please let us know ahead of time. We will respect your wish.

• Winning team gets individual custom FwF Sports awards! 
• There may be surprises from FwF Sports throughout the season!
