Bowling League (Info/How To Register)

BASIC INFORMATION:
FwF is a social, adult, coed league and anyone 18+ can play! All skill levels welcome and we do use handicaps.

  • Games will take place at Family Bowl, located off of Parkside in West Knoxville.
  • Game times will be every week beginning at 6:30PM with warm-ups starting at 6:15PM.
  • SUMMER 2024 registration is OPEN!
    Games begin:
    Monday League – June 3, 2024     and run until July 15!
    Thursday League – June 6, 2024     and run until July 25! We will skip July 4.
  • Your team gets 3 games an evening over 7 weeks, shoe rentals are included.

  • Register prior to 2 weeks before games begin to save $5 (details below).


HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Click “NEW REGISTRATION” tab above to officially register on our site.
    If you have already registered once before, then just log-in if you aren’t already.
  • After you complete this step then click on “PAYMENTS” tab and complete check-out.
    NOTE: you are not registered to play on a team until you submit payment.
    Registering on the site only creates an account on here. Make sure payment is submitted!
  • SIGN ON AS A FREE AGENT OR WITH A FRIEND!
    In the team name field just type “free agent” or “free agent with (name)” to be placed with a friend.
  • EARLY REGISTRATION COST is $75 for 7 games, 6 regular season and 1 playoff week. 3 games every evening for each team! Shoe rentals are included.
    Pay prior to 2 weeks before games beginning to save!
  • LATE REGISTRATION COST is $80 if registering after the 2 week prior deadline.
  • Team captain must register a NEW team first, unless you are registering as a free agent (to be placed with a random team).
  • Team captains choose the team colors. If you do not know the team color or are a free agent, skip selecting a color but do put your shirt size.

FwF TEAM SHIRTS ARE OPTIONAL BUT TEAMS MUST MATCH IN SHIRT COLOR!

Only $15 at checkout, just select the option. If you don’t know your team color or are a free agent, leave the color choice blank. 
The FwF shirt comes with several discounts at area locations.

NOTE: If you register in the “late” window, your shirt will not arrive until week 3.  


LEAGUE RULES & INFO:

  • BOWLING RULES: FwF-Coed-Bowling-Rules-22update

  • 4 bowlers per game (1 female minimum each game).
  • 6 players per team minimum (no maximum) with at least 2 women.
  • 1 female must bowl each game.
  • Handicaps do apply to level the playing field. Our handicap is based off of a 180.
  • Substitutes are NOT allowed.
  • Standings will determine who you play in playoffs.
  • Only the top teams make the main playoffs. The rest make a consolation bracket. Top teams will be either top 6-8 pending how many teams we have that season.
  • There will be a league captain’s chat on FB messenger for quickly relaying information from the commissioners to the teams.
  • IF YOUR TEAM DOESN’T REGISTER UP TO 6 PLAYERS, YOU WILL RECEIVE FREE AGENTS TO MEET THE REQUIREMENT. Even if you ask us not to. We are sorry but all teams must meet the minimum.
  • Free Agents will not be assigned until 5-7 days prior to the season starting. If you have questions, please reach out!


AWARD:

  • Winning team players get custom FwF Championship Medals OR something from our Winner’s Circle “shop” (see tab). Lastly, each player will get a $10 Token Game Tavern gift card! Token is a sponsor of our playoffs!
  • In some cases we will have a lower bracket winning team. We call this the Bowling For Shots Bracket. These winners will get custom FwF shot glasses OR shots the night of league play! Must be 21+ to get a shot and there is a dollar limit on the beverage.
